I Need a Job

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

Thanks for all the nice words about the house! We are pretty stinkin' excited, and now just can't wait till we can actually be in the house! Let me know when you want to come visit, we'd love to show you around!

My main responsibility of house hunting is completed, so now I've started the oh-so-fun job hunt. While working the 8-5 Monday-Friday job, I always thought "it'd be so nice to just stay home and do nothing!" Ok, that is fun for like 2 days. It's been about a week, and I'm already getting a little stir-crazy. I know it's time to get a job when I do two crafts in one afternoon.

First, I embellished an old striped shirt with some scrap fabric using this tutorial.

Then I made this bow headband with some fabric I picked up from Ikea, based on this tutorial.

And you better believe I have some more things up my sleeve. But mostly, I just need a job! If anyone has any leads here in Utah, send them my way! I promise, I've got skillzzzz. :)

Yeah, let's be honest, you probably shouldn't have quit that ol' 8-5er you used to have :)

PS - how many times have you been to Ikea so far? There are some pillows there I really really want! Gotta make a trip soon!

Darling projects! You just made me really excited for summer and some free time! It's true though it does get old. During the summer I had to really stick to a schedule or I went crazy!

I really wish my company was hiring - it'd be so fun to work with you! But seeing as I'm the sole tax accounting staff...if you get hired that means I'm out! Haha! But so glad that you made it to UT & I love your new house! (if you can't tell I'm a little behind on the blog reading so I'm playing catch up right now) Anyway, hope to see you soon! Love ya! Oh...and good luck with with job hunt.
