Transient Living

Thursday, August 6, 2009

So Russ and I got married 12 days ago now, and we won't be in our "home/apartment complex" in San Antonio until August 25th! Yeah, that's like 2 1/2 weeks. So where have we been living and what do we plan to do for this awkward interim period of the summer?

Well let me tell you: we are official transients. Full-fledged roamers. Squatters. Homeless.

For this week we got really lucky and hit the jack-pot with some family connections that were out of town for 7 days. It's been fun living up in Salt Lake by the University of Utah in someone else's house. It still catches me off guard every time I see all these frames with faces that are not our own. But one thing is for sure--other people's lives are intriguing!

On Saturday we must leave our temporary abode and are thus trekking up to Spokane to live in my parent's basement for a week. I must admit, I'm pretty stoked: mom's cooking, Spokane wedding reception in my backyard, and lots and lots of water skiing.

After that? Who knows! Russ's parents? Hotel? The wilderness? I guess only time will tell.

Ohhh can I come to Spokane again? Water skiing and wedding cake are some of the fineries in life. :)

what an adventure... I am sure you have figured out that it doesn't really matter where you are living, but about who you are living with! Being Married and in love is all that matters!
